Dance-For-A-Cause

"I am a very fortunate person, who had a chance to spend my years in India and USA. I was born in the USA but spent most of my elementary school years in India along with my extended family and friends. I am an only child, but I had a friend/sister who was with me all the time, our housekeeper’s daughter, 10 years elder than me. While I attended elementary school, she would be home and never go to school. I did not understand the concept.
Now back in the USA attending high school, I do understand the concept. Ever since the time I was able to evidently see the hardships these young girls faced; I felt the urge to have a part in the change that comes along. The change will not only help these young girls get to school in order to fulfill their educational desires but for us to come together to create a community that gives back to people in need. A key reason why, along with other friends and young entrepreneurs, I partnered with organization such as Pedal2Success, who’s primary focus is to empower kids, especially girls get to school easily and efficiently. This way I can give back to my community in India and help impoverished girls my age.
We started Dance-For-A-Cause event in 2020 and continue to do so every year, by hosting virtual and in-person dance classes to raise funds to benefit Pedal2Success. Pedal2Sucess is partnering with schools in remote parts of India to provide bicycles to young girls in need. Every donation given to Pedal2Success matters and only brings the organization closer to providing one more bicycle to these girls. Therefore, I encourage you to join us in our journey in making a change."
